Nearly a third of our officers have left due to lack of support from our leadership. Crime is rising while our city decriminalizes serious offenses. Kent families deserve to feel safe again. Let's support law enforcement and enforce the laws in our community. We have more burglaries per capita and the lowest ratio of officers to residents for 14 consecutive years, (51% below the national average) and this was only exacerbated in the past 8 years.

The city has spent millions on homelessness and drug abuse, with little to show for it. I'll stop throwing taxpayer money at failing programs and instead create a public-private partnership that is focused on long-term recovery, not enabling.

I will prioritize small business incentives and cut red tape for business permits to boost economic development. I will create and implement a Strategic Crypto Reserve so that our city stays at the forefront of financial innovation. Lastly, I'll end the Streamlined Sales Tax loophole that has been used to rob Kent of revenue for years. This problem has not been solved and hard working Kent citizens are paying the price. Our roads are suffering. I will use this revenue to fix our infrastructure and get funds flowing back in to our city.

Last year, I helped manage the initiative to create single-member districts in Kent so that we have fair, democratic representation throughout our city. We need term limits for elected officials. My opponent is seeking a third term, marking 12 years in office. I pledge to serve no more than two terms because real democracy needs fresh ideas and to make space for new leadership to rise. Eight years is enough!
